Paul O’Kelly - Leadership Consultant

Paul O’Kelly is a strategic thinking, leadership and growth strategist and coach. He works exclusively with leaders and teams who are deeply committed to growth, positive change and making sustainable breakthroughs.  Paul graduated with a B. Ed from Thomond College (University of Limerick); is a Certified Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centred Coach;  Europe’s first Gazelles International Certified Coach, and is a member of the Gazelles International Advisory Team. He has deep experience in Appreciative Inquiry and was coached and educated by Diana Whitney one the world leaders in the field. He is a Certified NLP Practitioner for Sport having completed his studies at Roehampton University.

Paul is currently working with clients in Ireland, USA, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Romania, Middle East and Africa, and with teams from Asia and Australia. His current clients include global leaders such as ActiVision of USA, Generali of Italy; and ETEX Group Belgium. Irish clients include several technology companies and household names such as Bord na Móna, Tegral, Trinity College, and Bank of Ireland. He is working with fast growth companies such as KEMP Technologies, New York; Guidion, Amsterdam; Height for Hire, Ireland, UK, Slovakia, Hungry, Biotector, Cork, Ireland and Tecknoworks, Romania.

His early career roles included Manager of European Marketing for a Fortune 200 company.  In this role he was the first employee in Europe and established a highly profitable customer base in 7 countries, production in Ireland and distribution in Europe.

He delivers his results through 1 to 1 work with the leader or the leadership team; and through larger scale and whole organisation processes. Paul has facilitated workshops with 400+ people in a room and through multiple workshops he and his teams have engaged 1,000’s of people in a single organisation.  He thrives in the challenges of rapid growth, internationalisation, deeply ingrained disunity or hostility, in multicultural and multinational environments.

He has a deep interest in education, is a Board Member of Atlantic Corridor, funded by the Irish Department of Foreign affairs and has worked with organisations such as Facebook and Ericsson in building interest in STEM education.  He works regularly on a pro bono basis with schools, and 3rd level institutions developing strategies and contributing to leadership and growth programmes. On a professional basis he was retained by Dubai Government to work with Ohio University on the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Programme for Sports Leadership Development for emerging leaders from all sectors. For the last 2 years he has coached one of the leaders at the X Prize Foundation in Los Angeles. He is currently retained by Generali of Italy (90,000 employees) as a coach to one it top global leaders and his team, as part of Generali Global Leader Accelerator Programme in association with Duke University.

Paul is regularly invited to speak at international events, facilitate learning workshops, share his experience at universities and schools.  These include Big Business Day, Riga, Latvia; EuroGeographics European Conference, Belfast; Axor Executive Forum, Ukraine; the ALTO Global Conference, London; the Association for Coaching; Gazelles Four Decisions Workshops in the UK; EO New York Forum Retreat in Rejykavik, Iceland; University of Limerick, Ireland.
